15 Days

This blog will serve the purpose of documenting the last 15 days of studio. It should be particularly interesting because the project has been completely rethought in the last day or so. So everything done up to now will be set aside and the project will start here. The only consolation (I think) is that I am starting with a clear strategy which seems rather achievable, at least at the moment. The project uses a competition brief for an observation tower in Incheon, South Korea. The City, expected to become a new central hub of South Korea, exists today only as rice fields. Thomas Leeser is our studio professor. I think he has selected the brief purely for the absurdity of it all. The studio is called Cliche. The tower is to stand as an international icon and will promote Incheon as "the best international free economic zone". 450m in height and full of suggested programs like "bungee jump" and "gyro-drop".

The purpose of setting up the blog is to maintain a really indexical record of the process. Since there are only 15 days the process should be concise and developments should pile up quickly on top of each other. Its also helping to keep me on track...
